Abstract Photovoltaic power systems are becoming increasingly prevalent in distribution and generation systems. But the efficiency of the solar system is very low. To increase its efficiency MPPT techniques are used. To prevent variable voltage supply by using stable voltage through the DC-DC CUK converter from the solar panels. This paper presents PV power based CUK converter for dc load application. The simulation was done in MATLAB Simulink and the experiments are carried out the results are presented.
