Abstract— Condenser is a device, which is used as a heat exchanger to transfer the state between steam and water. It is closed vessel, in which steam from the turbine is suddenly cooled to water state and reused.  Nowadays the condenser consists of plain copper tubes;the experimental setup of a condenser is finding the heat transfer rating and system performance.  In this work, we attempt to investigate the impact usage of aluminium coil fin and the efficiency investigated. In this project the efficiency is increased by winding the aluminium coil fin on the copper tube in the condenser. Therefore we get effective output by modifying the design of a fin arrangement. The calculation of fin efficiency is the greatest importance in heat exchanger engineering. The design models are further analysed with the use of SOLID WORKS (Flow simulation) software.
